Dr. Born is a registered professional geologist with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and is a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada. Dr. Born also holds a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from Carlton University with expertise in Precambrian Sedimentary Geology, Basin Analysis, Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, and Sedimentary Ore deposits. He brings over 30 years of exploration/mining experience to Bedford Metals Corp, including project evaluation and feasibility studies for senior and junior companies in Canada. This experience includes several years of uranium exploration in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan and the Thelon Basin of the Northwest Territories, Canada. Peter has also worked as a senior geologist with Western Mining Corporation as well as a consultant/senior geologist modeling the Aquarius ore body with Echo Bay Mines Ltd.
Mark worked in the Trust and Finance sector for over 25 years, including roles as Vice President of Western Region at Montreal Trust, Scotia Bank, and Computershare Trust Company of Canada. He has served on the board of many publicly listed as well as private sector organizations throughout his career. His expertise spans Trust and Advisory, Corporate Finance, Sales and Marketing, Business M&A, RTO, and Business Succession. Mark has a long-standing commitment to strong community relations and volunteer work. He holds an Arts and Science Degree from Mount Royal University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Calgary.
Mr. Ko is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with significant experience in senior management positions. He has served as a director of several other publicly listed Canadian resource companies, including Unity Energy Corp., Athabasca Uranium, and Menika Mining Ltd. Mr. Ko received a Bachelor’s of Arts (BA) in Economics in 1974 from The University of Victoria, BC, with a focus on international economics and political science. In 1979, he obtained his CA designation and has since focused his energies on developing opportunities in Canada and Asia, particularly in Hong Kong. He is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and his specific mandate with Bedford Metals Corp will be to source joint venture and funding opportunities in China, Korea, and Japan.
Mr. Schneider was Vice President of New Business Development with Fortune 500 Company Aramark Corporation for 15 years. He started his own business which after 7 years he sold to Aramark. Mr. Schneider stayed on with Aramark for an additional 4 years as a consultant at which time he was instrumental in negotiating a contract valued at $100 million. (Aramark at the time had 259,000 employees and annual revenues of over $13 billion). Mr. Schneider then entered the securities industry and co-founded 5 Capital Pool Corporations on the TSX – Venture Exchange and IPO’d one company on the Canadian Securities Exchange. Mr. Schneider currently serves as a Director of several public and private companies.
